Kirby Keltner was selected to be an intern for the Green Section’s North Central Region this summer.  Kirby currently is a senior studying turfgrass management at Eastern Kentucky University under the advisement of Mrs. Carla Hagan.

            Kirby was raised in rural southern Ohio, where he began working on a golf course during high school.  The love for his work grew and, when it was time for college, he decided to follow his passion.  Through his college career, he has had the opportunity to meet industry professionals, and become well-versed in golf course operations.

After graduation in December 2011, Kirby looks forward to beginning his career in the turfgrass management industry.
