Clinton Steketee will travel as an intern in the North Central
Region. He currently is a junior at Michigan State University
studying crop and soil science under the guidance of Dr. James Crum.
Clint grew up in Caledonia, MI
where he began working at his father’s lawn care company. His interest in turfgrass management grew
while he was working at Broadmoor Country Club (Caledonia, MI)
as a high school student. Last summer, Clint had the opportunity to work as an intern at
Quaker Ridge Golf Club (Scarsdale, NY), and also served as a grounds volunteer for The
Barclays PGA tournament held at Ridgewood Country Club (Paramus, NJ). He also will work at The Scotts Miracle-Gro
Company this summer as a research and development intern.
Upon
graduation in May 2012, Clint will
attend graduate school to study turfgrass management with the hopes of one day
becoming a consultant, professor, or turfgrass researcher.
