2017 U.S. Open: Fan Information

1895 Club

The 1895 Club is an on-site, air-conditioned pavilion located near the 10th hole. 1895 Club tickets are needed to access this tent. Regular Junior tickets do not provide access into the 1895 Club, but 1895 Club ticket holders can purchase 1895 Club Junior tickets for juniors ages 17 and under ($75 per day for practice rounds and $130 per day for championship rounds) on-site at Will Call. There is a maximum of two 1895 Club Junior tickets per one adult 1895 Club ticket holder.

  • June 12-18 (Monday through Sunday) 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. 

 

Services for Fans with Disabilities 

The USGA is committed to providing a positive and user-friendly experience for all fans with disabilities and is pleased to provide the following services: 

  • Accessible parking spaces for all vehicles having appropriate HD/DP license plates or placards will be reserved at all parking location. 
  • Our Disability Services Committee will be on-site to assist fans with disabilities, with multi-person golf cart transportation to and from Disability Services Headquarters and specific grandstand locations and facilities throughout the golf course via a fixed route with predetermined stops. 
  • A number of motorized scooters will be available at the Mobility Scooter Tent, located in Fan Central for fans with disabilities, on a first-come, first-served basis, compliments of the USGA and Pride Mobility. 
  • Telecommunications Devices for the Deaf will be available at the Disability Services Headquarters located near Gate 1. 
  • Accessible restrooms will be available at portable restroom locations throughout the championship grounds and at corporate facilities. 
  • Select concessions, merchandise tents and fan experience areas will be accessible. 

 

List of Prohibited Items

  • No Weapons (regardless of permit, including but not limited to firearms or knives)
  • No Explosives and/or Fireworks of any kind
  • No Tablets and/or Computers (cellular mobile devices smaller than 7" are permitted, subject to mobile device policy and camera/photography policy)
  • No Noise-Producing Devices (including portable speakers)
  • No Cameras (other than Monday through Wednesday for personal photographic use, subject to mobile device policy and camera/photography policy)
  • No Backpacks, Briefcase, Purses and/or Bags larger than 6" W x 6" H x 6" D in their natural state.
  • NOTE: Transparent/clear plastic hand and shoulder bags no larger than 12" W x 12" H x 12" D are permitted. 
  • No Signs, Posters and/or Banners
  • No Food and/or Beverages except for medical or infant needs
  • No Containers, Coolers, Aerosol Cans and/or Spray Bottles except for medicial or infant needs
  • NOTE: Personal-care items (3 ounces or less) and transparent/clear empty plastic water bottles (size 24-ounce or less)   are permitted. 
  • No Pets (other than service animals as defined by the ADA assisting disabled individuals) 
  • No Lawn Chairs and/or Oversized Chairs with Arms (compact chairs without arms are permitted with no case)
  • No Ladders and /or Step Stools or other similar items
  • No Bicycles allowed inside admission areas or on the championship grounds 
  • No other items deemed unlawful, dangerous or disruptive by the USGA and/or Championship Security Personnel, in their sole discretion

 NOTE: The USGA reserves the right to amend the List of Prohibited Items at any time to provide a safe and secure            championship.

Concessions

There will be concession stands located throughout the grounds of Erin Hills featuring a variety of food and beverage options available for purchase.

Grandstands

Grandstand seating will be located at strategic viewing areas throughout the golf course for fans. Seating is provided on a first-come, first-served basis and grandstands will be closed upon reaching capacity. Access to the grandstands is subject to applicable USGA policies, which will be posted at the entrance to each grandstand.

Hours

Admission gates are open from 6 a.m. to the conclusion of play each day.

PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION

Erin Hills is located 35 miles northwest of Milwaukee.  Complimentary parking and shuttle transportation will be provided to and from Erin Hills.  The general parking lots will have accessible parking spaces for vehicles displaying appropriate HP/DP license plates or placards. For fans requiring lift-equipped shuttle transportation, please contact the USGA Admissions Office at 1-800-698-0661 for further information. 
 

U.S. Open Parking (June 12-18, 2017)

Complimentary parking will be provided at TWO large parking lots. The RED Lot is due east of Erin Hills and the BLUE Lot is due south. Please follow general parking signage and/or directions from parking attendants to the designated parking location. Complimentary shuttle transportation will be provided from both parking areas to and from Erin Hills and is expected to take approximately 25 minutes in each direction.

We encourage all fans utilizing I-94 from Madison, points south and west of Milwaukee or Chicago to follow signs to the BLUE Lot. Fans utilizing I-41/I-45 and traveling from points north of Milwaukee are encouraged to follow signs to the RED Lot.

Please note: There is no general parking or disabled fan parking available in the immediate vicinity of the golf course. All other parking is by permit only.

Preferred driving directions to both the RED and BLUE Lots are below. Physical addresses are not available.

BLUE Lot Driving Directions

From the West using I-94 Eastbound

  • Follow I-94 East. Take Exit 277 (Willow Glen Road). Continue straight onto Delafield Road for 4.0 miles. Turn left onto Blue Ribbon Circle and follow signage to the BLUE Lot. 

From the South and East using I-94 Westbound
  • Follow I-94 West. Take Exit 317 (Madison, North I-41/ South I-43/ Bypass I-894).  
  • Continue on North I-41/ South I-43/ Bypass I-894 for 4.6 miles. 
  • Keep right and follow signs for North I-41/ North US 45/ West I-894 for 8.0 miles. 
  • Take Exit 1B (Madison /I-94 West). Follow I-94 West for 20 miles. 
  • Take Exit 283 (County P /Sawyer Road). Keep left and follow signs for Delafield Road /County DR.
  • At the first roundabout, take the third exit onto Sawyer Road and follow for 0.13 miles. 
  • At the second roundabout, take the first exit onto Delafield Road and continue for 1.9 miles. 
  • Turn right onto Blue Ribbon Circle and follow signage to the BLUE Lot. 


From the North using WI-67 Southbound

  • Follow WIS 67 South towards Oconomowoc. Continue onto Summit Avenue going southbound. Turn right onto Delafield Road/ County DR. for 0.4 miles. Turn right onto Blue Ribbon Circle and follow signage to the BLUE Lot. 


From the South using WI-67 Northbound

  • Follow WIS 67 North towards Oconomowoc. Turn left onto Delafield Road/ County DR. for 0.4 miles. Turn right onto Blue Ribbon Circle and folow signage to the BLUE Lot. 


From the South and East using I-90 Westbound

  • Follow I-90 West. Take Exit 171A (WIS 26/Milton). Turn right onto WIS 26 North/ Milton Ave. Follow WIS 26 North for 30.9 miles. Turn right to merge onto I-94 East and follow 14.4 miles. Take Exit 277 (Willow Glen Road). Continue straight onto Delafield Road for 4.0 miles. Turn left onto Blue Ribbon Circle and follow signage to the BLUE Lot. 

 

RED Lot Driving Directions 


From the South using I-41 Northbound

  • Follow I-41/ US 45 northbound towards Fond du Lac. Take Exit 59 to continue on US 45 North towards West Bend for 0.8 miles. Take Exit 60 (WIS 145/ Fond du Lac Avenue). Turn right onto WIS 145 South for 1.4 miles. Turn right onto County Y and continue for 1.5 miles following signage to the RED Lot. 


From the North using US-41 Southbound

  • Follow I-41 South. Take Exit 60 (WIS 145 South/ Fond du Lac Avenue).
  • At the first roundabout, take the second exit onto WIS-145 South. 
  • Follow WIS 145 South/ Fond du Lac Avenue for 2.0 miles.
  • Turn right onto County Y and continue for 1.5 miles following signage to the RED Lot. 

From the North using US 45 Southbound

  • Follow US 45 South. Take Exit 60 (WIS 145/ Fond du Lac Avenue). 
  • At the first roundabout, take the third exit onto WIS 145 South. 
  • Follow WIS 145/ Fond du Lac Avenue for 1.5 miles. 
  • Turn right onto County Y and continue for 1.5 miles following signage to the RED Lot. 


For local and area residents, a passenger drop-off location within walking distance to Erin Hills will be identified and communicated in the spring on www.usopen.com. There will be no parking or staging for vehicles at the passenger drop-off location, so pick-up times will need to be coordinated accordingly. Due to traffic restrictions, access is limited to vehicles no larger than a 12-passenger van or limousine.

Passenger Drop-Off

The Passenger Drop-Off will be only allowed at the designated area located at Erin School in Erin, Wis., which is a five to 10-minute walk to Gate 1. There is no parking or staging for vechicles, so please coordinate pick-up times accordingly. Please follow directional signs and attendants to the appropriate pick-up and drop-off location. Due to traffic restrictions, access is limited to vehicles no larger than a 12 passenger van or limousine.  

Playoff

If there is a tie for the low score after 72 holes, an 18-hole playoff is scheduled to be held on Monday, June 19th.

Re-Entry

Re-entry is permitted throughout the day with a valid ticket for that day. Any fan choosing to leave the grounds and return must have their valid ticket in order to do so.

Trophy Club

The Trophy Club is located in close proximity to Gate 1 in Fan Central. Trophy Club tickets are needed to access this tent. However, Junior tickets do provide access when accompanied by an adult Trophy Club ticket holder. Upgraded food and beverage are available for purchase at an addtional charge.

Weather 

Meterorology staff will be on-site monitoring weather conditions at all times. The USGA will communicate important safety information to fans through special Alerts that will appear on all leader boards, thru boards and video boards. Please read all Alerts and follow safety instructions. In general, an Alert shown in blue is being posted for general awareness while yellow indicates fans should be prepared to take action. An Alert shown in red poses an imminent threat and will require immediate action as stated in the Alert. 

A Weather Advisory may be posted to alert fans of specific weather conditions that will require certain precautions. 

A Weather Watch may be posted to alert fans that dangerous weather is possible and they should be prepared to take shelter or return to their vehicles. 

A Weather Warning may be posted to alert fans that dangerous weather is approaching and they should take immediate action, including exiting all grandstands. 

A suspension of play for dangerous conditions will be indicated by one prolonged air-horn blast. In the event of a suspension of play, grandstands will be cleared immediately. If lightning is detected, please avoid open areas, hilltops, high places, isolated trees, golf carts and wire fences, and seek shelter immediately. Play will resume as soon as conditions allow. 

Will Call

Will Call will be located on-site for fans to drop off and pick up tickets at Gate 1. Photo identification will be requried to pick up tickets left at Will Call. Will Call cannot be accessed by vehicles at any time.
