USGA Donor Privacy Policy

The United States Golf Association (the “USGA” or “we” or “us” or “our”) recognizes the importance our members and other donors place on the privacy of personal information that can be used to specifically identify or contact an individual (“Personal Information”). We created this donor privacy policy (this “Donor Privacy Policy”) to explain how we share Personal Information that you have provided to us both online and offline.  This Donor Privacy Policy supplements and is incorporated into our Terms of Use and our general Privacy Policy.

Sharing of Personal Information

  • We may share your Personal Information with third parties for their marketing purposes, unless you have opted out following the process described in our general Privacy Policy.
  • We reserve the right to send you mailings or other communications on behalf of other organizations, unless you have opted out following the process described in our general Privacy Policy.
  • We may share your Personal Information with our affiliates, technical consultants, service providers, third party auditors, third party partners or other third parties who use such information on our behalf to process your donations or other orders, help make our services and offerings available or enhance their functionality, provide associated services, deliver content, samples, products, services, advertisements, gifts and prizes or perform other services for us.
  • We reserve the right to disclose your Personal Information as required by courts or administrative agencies, laws or legal process and to the extent required to permit us to investigate suspected fraud, harassment, or other violations of any law, rule, or regulation, our rules or policies, or the rights of third parties, or to investigate any suspected conduct which the USGA deems improper.
  • We may disclose your Personal Information when we have reason to believe that someone is causing injury to or interference with our rights or property, other users of our offerings, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities.
  • We also reserve the right to transfer your Personal Information in the event we, or a substantial portion of our assets, undergo a business restructuring, transfer of ownership, or similar transaction.


Except as described in this Donor Privacy Policy or as described at the time you provide the information, we do not otherwise disclose your Personal Information to any third parties. 

Changes to the Donor Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to change this Donor Privacy Policy from time to time.  When we do, we will update the effective date below.
