Green with envy? Not with the single-row irrigation system at Pinehurst Course No. 2.


Due to the turtle back design at Pinehurst Course No. 2, protecting the green surrounds during maintenance operations is just as important as the putting greens.


This is as close as any USGA agronomist will get to the U.S. Open trophy.
