Jim Liu, 16, Smithtown, N.Y. 

Born August 9, 1995 in New York, N.Y…Started playing golf at the age of 6…Has participated in seven USGA Championships…Won the 2010 U.S. Junior Amateur at the age of 14, making him the youngest winner ever, surpassing Tiger Woods…Has been on three consecutive American Junior Golf Association Rolex Junior All-America teams (2009-11)…Member of the National Honor Society and will graduate from high school in 2013…Has verbally committed to attend Stanford in 2013…Enjoys reading, drawing, fishing and ping pong.

Nicolo Galletti, 17, Pleasanton, Calif.

Born November 21, 1994 in Berkeley, Calif…A left-hander…Played in the 2010 U.S. Amateur, but missed the cut…Finished second in the 2011 American Junior Golf Association Winn Grips Heather Farr Classic… Will attend Arizona State University upon graduation from Foothill High School in 2013…Older brother, Roberto, played for University of Nevada-Las Vegas and University of Arizona…His round of 32 opponent, Vincent Whaley, caddied for him in round of 16…Began playing at the age of 4…Enjoys football and basketball.

Maverick McNealy, 16, Portola Valley, Calif.

Born November 7, 1995 in Stanford, Calif…Nicknamed Mav…Participating in his first USGA event…Finished third in the 2012 Northern California Junior Amateur…Consumed two peanut butter-and-jelly sandwiches, four energy bars and a banana during round of 16…Golf highlights include playing 72 holes in one day with his father and registering two hole-in-ones…Captain of the San Jose Junior Sharks hockey team.

Matthew Scobie, 16, Canada 

Born November 4, 1995 in Markham, Ontario, Canada...Resides in Ajax, Ontario…Graduated high school in June, one year early…Has signed to play at the University of Houston this fall…Won the 2011 Investors Group Ontario Junior Spring Classic…Received the Order of Merit from the Golf Association of Ontario in 2010 as one of the top five junior golfers in his division…Started playing at the age of 12…Carries his own bag…Enjoys working out, playing hockey and spending time with friends.

Nicolas Echavarria, 17, Colombia 

Born August 4, 1994 in Medellin, Colombia…Resides in Bradenton, Fla., and attended the IMG Academy…Semifinalist in 2011 U.S. Junior Amateur, losing to Chelso Barrett in 19 holes…Will attend the University of Arkansas in the fall…Nicknamed Nico… Brother, Andres, a former University of Florida All-American and a current golf professional, is his caddie…Won the 2010 South American Junior Golf Championship…Was a 2011 American Junior Golf Association Rolex Junior Second-Team All-America...His motto is never give up. 

Branson Davis, 17, McKinney, Texas  

Born November 20, 1994 in McKinney, Texas…Second time playing in the U.S. Junior Amateur…Qualified for match play in 2010… Attends McKinney Boyd High School and has verbally committed to University of Georgia after his 2013 graduation…Won the 2012 American Junior Golf Association’s Goodman Networks Junior and 2011 Under Armour/Hunter Mahan Championship…Enjoys sports and spending time with friends.

Joo-Young Lee, 17, Hilliard, Ohio 

Born October 18, 1994 in Hilliard, Ohio…Won the 2012 American Junior Golf Association Memorial Junior Tournament and was the 2010 Ohio Junior Amateur Champion…Entering his senior year at Hilliard Darby High School…Developed a love for the game watching his parents on the driving range…Enjoys sports and video games.

Andy Hyeon Bo Shim, 17, Duluth, Ga. 

Born November 19, 1994 in Jeonrabookdo, Korea…Currently resides in Duluth, Ga. … Played in the 2011 U.S. Junior Amateur, qualifying for match play…Won the 2011 American Junior Golf Association's Burgett H. Mooney Jr. Classic and Evitt Foundation RTC Junior All-Star tournament…Had a hole-in-one at Windermere G.C. in 2011.
