The U.S. Women’s Open Championship internship is a great way to gain valuable experience in sports management. Whether you work in Operations or Championship Administration, you will gain valuable experience and see firsthand how an exemplary golf championship is conducted.

The 73rd U.S Women’s Open Championship will be held at Shoal Creek, which will be hosting its first, U.S. Women’s Open Championship and its third USGA championship. Nestled between Oak and Double Oak Mountains in the southern foothills of the Appalachians, the mix of traditional and modern elements at Shoal Creek will truly provide the ultimate test of Championship golf.

 

 

What You Can Expect:

A long term intern is needed for a Full-Time Internship from the beginning of February – June to work in the U.S. Women’s Open Admissions Office in Far Hills, NJ as well as spend time on-site at the 2018 U.S. Women’s Open at Shoal Creek. The purpose of the position is to learn and assist with all aspects of the U.S. Women’s Open admission functions including customer service, ticketing functions, credential production and will call.   Once on-site, you will be credentialed as a USGA Staff member as we prepare and manage admissions functions associated with the Championship.

 

Additional Duties Include:

  • Assist the admissions office with day to day functions
  • Assist with special projects, mailings and some data entry
  • Respond and take action on emails and calls from current and potential ticket buyers
  • Assist with U.S. Women’s Open ticket distribution
  • Assist with the U.S. Women’s Open credential production
  • Help with the ticket and credential fulfillment for all USGA Staff
  • Follow up with all returned mail from ticket fulfillment
