Keith A. Happ
Senior Agronomist
Mid-Atlantic Region

Happ is an agronomist for the USGA Green Section Mid-Atlantic Region. His duties include: Turf Advisory visitations, writing articles and presenting educational seminars to golf associations, superintendent associations, state/regional conferences and University turf classes. His goals are to provide prompt service, supply requested information and facilitate the development of the best possible turf conditions. Ultimately, his goal is to help develop the desired playing conditions while staying within the framework of an established budget.
Prior to assuming his role as agronomist in the Mid Atlantic region, he was at The Ohio State University in the graduate program and worked at the Double Eagle Golf Club. Happ is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a B.S. degree in Agronomy.
Before returning to school, Happ had 16 years of turfgrass management experience. He served eight years as the Superintendent at Legend Lake Golf Club in Chardon, Ohio. During his tenure as superintendent he attained Certified Golf Course Superintendent status. While at Legend Lake Golf Club, he served on the board of directors for the Northern Ohio Superintendents Association as well as the GCSAA Public Relations Committee.
He lives in Pittsburgh, Pa., with his wife Mary Beth and two boys, Christopher and Ian. He bases his TAS activities in the Mid-Atlantic sub-regional office in Pittsburgh and focuses on visiting golf courses in the western portion of the Mid-Atlantic Region.
