Darin Bevard
Agronomist
Mid-Atlantic Region

Darin is a senior agronomist for the USGA Green Section's Turf Advisory Service. He works out of the Mid-Atlantic field office located in Glen Mills, Pa. He conducts visits throughout the five-state region and also speaks at and attends numerous conferences. When time permits, he writes articles for industry publications.
Bevard is a graduate of Penn State University, earning his Bachelor and Master of Science Degrees in Agronomy, with emphasis on Turfgrass Science. Dr. Thomas Watschke was his advisor for his advanced degree studies. His thesis work concentrated on pre-emergence herbicides and their effects on creeping bentgrass and annual bluegrass.
Before joining the staff, Bevard worked on several golf courses in the heart of the transition zone in Maryland. Most recent, he was the Assistant Superintendent at Talbot Country Club in Easton, Md.
