
Steve Czarnecki assists with the overall management of the Grants & Fellowship
Department and has a strong desire to expand opportunity in people's lives
through the game of golf. His primary responsibilities include those in
the areas of grant making, direct charitable activities, communications
and financial operations. He greatly values the opportunity to enhance his
management skills in the dynamic and collegial environment of the Grants & Fellowship
office.
Czarnecki has worked in the Grants and Fellowship Department of the USGA
since 1997. A USGA Fellow from 1997-1999, he worked primarily with programs
in the mid-west. In the third year of his Fellowship, he served as program
director for the Daniel Murphy Scholarship Foundation's summer caddie
program in Chicago.
A native of St. Louis, Steve graduated from the University of Missouri
in 1997 with degrees in both Management and Marketing. Introduced to the
game of golf through caddieing, Czarnecki attended MIZZOU on an Evans
Scholarship, a college scholarship for caddies. He served as President
of the Missouri Evans Scholar Chapter and was awarded the 1997 National
Evans Scholar Leader of the Year.
Through the USGA, Czarnecki has participated in
the Golf 20/20 initiative, the National Golf Course Owner’s Multi-Course
Owners Retreat, and the Colorado Springs Funders Forum.
Personally, Steve is the volunteer
Gallery Control Chairman for the 2008 U.S. Senior Open
and serves on the Board of Directors of the El Pomar Youth
Sports Park.
Steve and his wife, Rosanna, reside in Manitou Springs, Colorado.
