This matching grant supports a golf program for economically-disadvantaged juniors at two locations in the
southeastern part of the state. Approximately 180 kids will be enrolled in the program. USGA funds will be used

Purpose:
This grant supports The First Tee of Birmingham junior golf program, which provides year-round instruction at

Purpose:
This matching grant supports a new junior golf program that will serve nearly 200 participants, 85% of whom

This matching grant supports a golf program for individuals with disabilities. The program will offer eight free

Meridian, Miss.

Purpose:
This matching grant supports junior golf programming at The First Tee of Meridian, the only chapter of The First
Tee located in the state. Approximately 200 participants will receive instruction on golf skills and life skills
through The First Tee curriculum, and an additional 500 participants will be reached through community
outreach programs. The majority of participants will come from economically-disadvantaged households.
USGA funds will be used for instruction and golf course access.

Purpose:
This matching grant supports a junior golf program in which 70% of participants will be economically-

Purpose:
This grant supports the start of a new junior golf program at Meadowbrook Country Club and Golf Course.
Meadowbrook was founded in 1957 as a segregated course for African Americans. Approximately 90% of
participants in the new program will come from households earning less than $50,000 per year. USGA funds
will be used for instruction and equipment.

Purpose:
This grant supports programming at The First Tee of Brunswick County. More than 500 juniors will take part in
