Purpose:
This grant supports the start of a new chapter of The First Tee at Rock Manor Golf Course. This program will
offer three sessions of on-course programming throughout the year, as well as outreach into the surrounding
community. The organization projects that 70% of the participants served will be on the Federal Free or
Reduced Lunch programs. USGA funds will be used for instruction, course access, golf clubs and bags, and
transportation.

Purpose:
This matching grant will support a golf program for 30 children in an extremely rural area of northern Maine.
Participants will receive indoor golf instruction during the spring before taking part in a ten-week summer
camp at Aroostook Valley Country Club. USGA funds will be used for instruction and course access.

This two-year grant supports a program that reaches economically disadvantaged and minority children in four
different skill levels. The more competitive of the 40 participants will have the opportunity to join an Interclub

Purpose:
This matching grant supports the expansion of the summer golf program and will provide professional
instruction to participants. Approximately 180 children will participate and receive a "Player Report Card"

Purpose:
This matching grant will allow the organization to provide more instructors for its junior golf program. The

This grant supports the launch of two programs targeting girls and children with disabilities. Approximately 90

This matching grant supports a golf program for children with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. Through
research and education, the organization advocates for individuals with AD/HD. Approximately 30 children will

This grant supports a pilot golf program that aims to help children with disabilities fight obesity. The program

This matching grant supports the expansion of the 9-18 Club Junior Golf Program. Half of the 60 participants
will be of Cape Verdean descent. The program will also include a community service project directed by the

This grant will support advanced-level programs that will utilize indoor golf simulators indoors with golf

This matching grant supports a program that teaches individuals with disabilities the game of golf and gets

This grant supports programming that will take place in parks for more than 1,600 kids. Holes will be
simulated by spray-painting circles intended to look like greens with flagsticks and holes. During the last
meeting of each program, kids will be offered the chance to play at the Junior Golf Center. USGA funds will be

This matching grant supports The First Tee at Fairchild Wheeler. In addition to golf and life skills instruction, the

offered which will allow advanced level kids to play nine-hole matches against each other. USGA funds will be

Purpose:
This construction grant supports 600 kids and 25 GolfWorks interns at Walnut Lane Golf Club. Funds will be
used to build a shortened driving range by assisting with costs for netting and a synthetic tee line. A synthetic
green and bunker will be built to complete the practice facility.
