Southern Arizona Junior Golf Association

Purpose:
This three-year grant supports Right Start, an introductory golf program that projects to serve 60 underserved youth
annually. USGA funds will be used each year to provide sets of golf clubs and bags for each participant upon completion of
the six-week program.

Scottsdale Unified School District
Scottsdale, Ariz.

Purpose:
This two-year matching grant supports the Scottsdale Unified School District and its Let's Swing program. This program will
provide golf clinics to approximately 90 individuals with a variety of mental, behavioral, or physical disabilities.
Specifically, USGA funds will be used to provide instruction, course access and range access.

North Little Rock Police Athletic League
North Little Rock, Ark.
Awarded: $12,000
Purpose:
This grant supports the North Little Rock Police Athletic League, which is reviving a golf program that has been inactive
since 2004. During the summer of 2007, the golf program will serve 150 youths from the Rose City area of North Little Rock.
All participants are projected to come from families making less than $25,000 annually and 95% of participants are projected
to be minority youth. USGA funds will be used for instruction, access, equipment, and transportation.

The First Tee of Fort Smith, Arkansas
Fort Smith, Ark.

Purpose:
This two-year grant supports a program for individuals with disabilities operated by The First Tee of Fort Smith. The program
will operate golf clinics for nearly 100 adults and youths at its home facility. Additionally, the program will reach nearly 160
youths with disabilities in the community schools in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Specifically, USGA funds will be used to provide
professional instruction.

The Youth Foundation
Edwards, Colo.

Purpose:
This grant supports The First Tee of Eagle County located in Edwards, Colorado. This program projects to reach a diverse
participant reach of over 800 youths in 2007, many of whom come from economically-disadvantaged homes. Specifically,
USGA funds will be used to provide professional instruction, course access, and range access.

Boys & Girls Clubs of the San Luis Valley
Alamosa, Colo.

Purpose:
This matching grant supports the re-establishment of the Boys and Girls Club of the San Luis Valley's Junior Timberline
golf program. This junior golf program will reach 75 participants in 2007, with approximately 65% being Hispanic and 96%
coming from households with incomes less than $50,000. USGA funds for this program will support instruction, golf course
and driving range access, clubs and bags, and transportation.

Colorado Open Golf Foundation
Denver, Colo.

Purpose:
This grant supports The First Tee of Green Valley Ranch, located in a suburb of Denver. A diverse reach of nearly 210 youths
are projected to participate in this program in 2007. Aside from instructional clinics, the program will offer its participants
extensive outside course access on a short course built solely for their use. Specifically, USGA funds will be used for
participant scholarships, instruction, course access, and driving range access.

Wichita Junior Golf Foundation
Wichita, Kan.

Purpose:
This grant supports a volunteer operated program that has provided consistent junior golf opportunities in its community
for more than three decades. The program will reach over 700 youths in the summer of 2007. USGA funds will be used to
fund the purchase of new golf clubs and bags, and will provide additional course access opportunities outside of program
meetings.

Arkansas City Recreation Commission
Arkansas City, Kan.

Purpose:
This matching grant supports the expansion of the Arkansas City Recreation Commission's junior golf program and team golf
league. This organization offers recreation programs for all ages and enriches the lives of underprivileged youth through
golf programming. Approximately 35 participants in this rural Kansas community will be reached. USGA funds will assist
with professional instruction and golf course access.

Northwest Louisiana Youth Golf and Education Foundation
Shreveport, La.

Purpose:
This grant supports The First Tee of Northwest Louisiana. Approximately 250 economically-disadvantaged youths from
inner-city Shreveport, Louisiana, will be reached. Specifically, USGA funds will be used for instruction, course and range
access outside of program hours, golf clubs, and golf bags.

Purpose:
This matching grant supports The First Tee of Northeast Louisiana in only its second year of operation. Approximately 200
youths, primarily from the underdeveloped city of Monroe, Louisiana, will be reached. 300 additional youths will be served
through the organization's target programs. USGA funds will be used for instruction, course access, and golf clubs.

Triple "A" Youth Foundation

Purpose:
This matching grant supports The First Tee of St. Louis, an organization that is entering its second year of operations.
Approximately 230 inner-city youths, many of whom are economically-disadvantaged, will be reached in 2007. Specifically,
USGA funds will be used for course access and instruction.

Jasper County Sheltered Facilities Association
Joplin, Mo.

Purpose:
This grant supports Jasper County Sheltered Facilities Association, which operates a spring, summer, and fall golf program for
its developmentally disabled clients. Thirty participants are projected to enroll in the free program this year, receiving
professional instruction and course access. All participants are disabled, and 80% are projected to come from families
making less than $25,000 annually. USGA funds will be utilized for instruction, access, equipment, and transportation.

Purpose:
This matching grant funds an alternative education program at Chillicothe Middle School that is starting a golf program for
its students. USGA funds will be used for instruction, course access, equipment, and transportation so that 30 alternative
education students can be exposed to the game of golf this spring.

Purpose:
This grant supports The First Tee of Central New Mexico in its effort to expand its participant reach. Approximately 150
participants from in and around Albuquerque will be reached through the organization's second program facility in 2007.
Specifically, USGA funds will be used to provide professional instruction.

Purpose:
This two-year matching grant supports Golf For Kids New Mexico, Inc. In 2007, this program projects to reach nearly 200
participants in and around Santa Fe. Of these 200 participants, approximately 60% are projected to be of Hispanic origin.
The program also will be implementing an in-school program in the Santa Fe Indian School. The hope is to incorporate these
students into the core programs held at the golf course within the next year. USGA funds will be used for instruction.

Purpose:
This grant supports the Waurika Junior Girls Golf Program. Approximately 15 girls, between the ages of 15 and 18, will be
involved in the program, which runs from March to May of 2007. USGA funds will be used to assist in the construction of a
short game practice green.

This matching grant supports the creation of the Waurika Junior Girls Golf Program. Approximately 15 girls, between the

The First Tee of Tulsa
Tulsa, Okla.

Purpose:
This grant supports The First Tee of Tulsa in expanding the number of girls and individuals with disabilities involved in
the program. This organization will serve approximately 1,180 youths in the Tulsa area in 2007 and runs year-round golf
programming. The USGA funds will be used for instructor wages.

Texas Golf Association Foundation
Dallas, Texas

Purpose:
This grant supports the implementation of an intern works program in 2007 to expose underserved youth to golf industry
operations at various golf courses throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Twenty interns are projected to participate in the
program. USGA funds will be used to pay up to 60% of each intern's wages and will also help the program purchase passes so
that each intern can play at all municipal courses for only $1. Funds may also be used for instruction and equipment, not
including golf balls.

Youth Sports Council of Fort Worth

Purpose:
This grant supports the Youth Sports Council of Fort Worth, which operates The First Tee of Fort Worth. This chapter is
undergoing a considerable amount of expansion and expects to serve 800 children through core programming in 2007. USGA
funds will be used for instruction, course access, equipment, and transportation.

This grant supports The First Tee of Piney Woods - a program that reaches a diverse group of 350 participants in and

This grant supports The First Tee of the Golden Triangle. Approximately 220 participants from three cities in Texas,

The Greater Brownsville Junior Golf Foundation, Inc.

Purpose:
This matching grant supports the activities of The First Tee of Brownsville. 2007 will mark the chapter's first full year of
operation. Nearly nine out of every ten juniors enrolled in the program are of Hispanic descent and eight out of ten are
from families with annual incomes less than $50,000. USGA funds will be used for instruction and access.

Purpose:
This grant supports the participation of approximately 1,100 youths in six cities in southern Texas. Specifically, USGA
funds will be used to provide scholarships for 200 economically-disadvantaged youths to participate in the program.

Young Women's Christian Association of Lubbock, Texas, Inc.

Purpose:
This matching grant supports the YWCA of Lubbock's effort to enroll twenty of its members in an introductory golf program at
a nearby course. Programming experience is extensive, as participants will be able to attend up to six days per week during
the school year. All projected participants qualify for the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch program.

Purpose:
This two-year grant supports the Houston Golf Association, which runs The First Tee of Houston Redstone. 2007 marks the
third year of operation for this growing chapter, which hopes to serve 700 participants by the end of the year. USGA funds

Grand Prairie Independent School District

Purpose:
This grant funds an introductory golf camp for middle school-aged kids in Grand Prairie, Texas. Approximately 70 youths are
projected to participate in this one-week camp in 2007 and nearly all of them (96%) are projected to come from families
earning less than $50,000 annually. More than half of the participants are projected to be Hispanic. USGA funds will be
used for instruction and course and range access.
