multi-year grants while others are challenge grants. The organizations listed as the grantees represent the legal
applicant of the grant, which is not always the same as the program name for which the grant was awarded.


St. Croix Junior Golfers Association
Awarded: $16,000
Purpose: This grant supports the St. Croix Junior Golfers Association as the only USGA-supported junior golf program in the
Virgin Islands. Approximately 50 kids will receive beginner to advanced golf instruction year-round. USGA funds will
provide instruction and scholarships.

Southern Community College
Tuskegee, Ala.
Awarded: $13,000
Purpose: This grant will provide funding for the Tuskegee Golf Tech Partnership to start a junior golf program for 40
participants. A majority of the kids will come from the Tuskegee Housing Authority, and none will have any previous
golf experience. USGA funds will provide instruction, course access, driving range access, and golf clubs and bags.

City of St. Petersburg
St. Petersburg, Fla.
Awarded: $50,000
Purpose: This grant will enable The First Tee of St. Petersburg to serve nearly 2,000 kids from local schools, social service
organizations, and the community. A majority of the kids will come from economically disadvantaged households and
75% will be beginners. Programming will last all year at a minimal fee for those who can afford to pay. USGA funding
will provide instruction, course access, range access, and golf clubs and bags.

Future Masters, Inc.
Orlando, Fla.
Awarded: $20,000
Purpose: This grant funds a program in Orlando, Florida to provide junior golf
programming for 620 participants. This $20,000 grant will fund instruction, course access, and equipment for juniors
(3-18 years of age) of all skill levels. Years round programming will allow this organization to reach a variety of
participants through daily after-school and summer programming.

Orange County Public Schools
Orlando, Fla.
Awarded: $15,000
Purpose: This grant will provide funding for 240 grade schools kids in Orlando, Florida. Programming will take place
after-school in three difference locations. The top 40 kids in the program will have the opportunity to play on the course on four
occasions. USGA funding will provide transportation, equipment, instruction, course access, and range access.

TEE-LO Golf Inc.
Orlando, Fla.

Purpose: This grant will provide TEE-LO Golf the opportunity to teach golf to 100 kids of various skill levels in and around
Orlando. The organization has partnered with courses in the area to fit the needs and skill levels of the participants
and will provide transportation so all are able to attend programming year-round. USGA funding will provide
instruction, course access, range access, golf clubs and bags, and transportation.

Purpose: This grant will support The First Tee of Jacksonville's year-round programming for players of various skill levels.

from a diverse demographic background.

Purpose: This grant supports The First Tee of Lakeland in the provision of free access to a junior course and year round
instruction. This program will serve over 1,300 kids in 2006, which is a 260% increase in participation over 2005,
its second year of operation. USGA funds will be used for instruction costs.

Gulf Coast Academy of Science and Technology

Purpose: This matching grant will support an in-school junior golf program for sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students at a
public charter school. The introductory clinics will introduce 110 participants to the game in the 2006 school year.
USGA funding will be used for instruction, equipment, transportation, course access, and range access.

Purpose: This grant supports The First Tee of Atlanta to provide a program for 700 kids in an economically depressed area.

Purpose: This grant supports the general programming held at The First Tee of Columbus. The program projects to reach
approximately 536 participants through after-school, summer, and Saturday instructional sessions which will include

Purpose: This matching grant supports a program that provides an introductory golf clinic to 144 participants from the
Sandhills area. The program is a collaborative effort with the USGA-supported The First Tee of the Sandhills. USGA
funds will be used for instruction, course access, range access, equipment, transportation, and scholarships to The
First Tee Chapter of The Sandhills for continued opportunities.

Purpose: This grant supports the Richmond Hook a Kid On Golf programs as well as after school programs for elementary and
middle school participants in Richmond's urban areas. The grant will support more than 1,000 participants and USGA

Richmond.

Purpose: This grant supports the expansion of The First Tee of South Hampton Roads YMCA to an additional facility. This grant
will fund the instruction costs at the new facility which will reach over 420 participants from various demographic
backgrounds. This program will be primarily an introductory program for most participants with few intermediate
players.
