USGA Grants Committee

The USGA Grants Committee is a group of volunteers committed to supporting non-profit organizations in their efforts to provide opportunities in people's lives through golf and its values. The Committee is made up of long-time volunteers within various areas of the game, many of whom have significant experience within the non-profit sector, including foundation operations. Three current USGA Executive Committee members serve on the Committee, including the Chair, Christie Austin, as well as Chris Liedel and Brigid Shanley Lamb. Grants Committee members personally review all USGA grant applications and are responsible for the investments made in USGA-supported programs as well as the direction of direct charitable activities carried out by the Grants and Fellowship department. Grants Committee members attend three multi-day meetings annually and invest countless hours throughout the year reviewing grant applications and other meeting materials.
