Steven Edmondson
Managing Director, Handicapping, Course Rating & GHIN
Steve Edmondson serves in a leadership role where he is responsible for strategic planning, operations and direction of the USGA Handicap and Course Rating Systems, as well as the GHIN service, which is the largest handicap computation service provider in the world.
Edmondson began his profession in golf administration in 1993 with the Northern California Golf Association, followed by the Utah Golf Association shortly thereafter. Both positions provided a firm foundation for leading and directing numerous activities centered on the USGA Handicap & Course Rating Systems, as well as other programs fostered by state and regional golf associations.
Edmondson began his career with the USGA in 1997 where he focused on GHIN services and its many development initiatives. During this time, GHIN services grew with its countless new products and services, technical advancements, and number of state and regional golf associations subscribing to the GHIN service.
Edmondson is also responsible for the various scoring activities for all USGA championships.
Edmondson graduated from Utah State University with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing. He and his wife, Allison, reside in Bethlehem, Pa. They have three children, twin daughters Brook and Brennly, followed by their youngest daughter Bailey.
