Disabled Access Information

  • The USGA provides accessible parking spaces for all vehicles having appropriate license plates or placards reserved at all parking locations.
  • Our Disabled Services Committee will be on-site to assist disabled spectators with transportation to and from the Disabled Services Headquarters and specific grandstand locations and facilities throughout the course via multi-person golf carts.
  • A limited number of motorized scooters will be available at Disabled Services Tents for spectators with disabilities on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Accessible restrooms will be available at portable restroom locations throughout the championship grounds.  

Parking Information  

Complimentary general spectator parking will be available at the following locations:

  • Rose Tree Park
  • PPL Park

There is no free public parking available in the immediate vicinity of the golf course. Complimentary shuttle bus transportation from the general spectator parking lots will begin at 5:30 a.m. and run continuously until an hour after the conclusion of play.

Schedule of Events

  • The gates open daily at 6 a.m. for each day of the championship (practice rounds and championship rounds).  
  • Play will generally begin at 7 a.m. for practice-round days.
  • Play is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. for championship rounds 1 and 2.  
  • Play is generally scheduled to begin between 8-9 a.m. for championship rounds 3 and 4.  
  • If a playoff is necessary on Monday, June 17, it will begin at approximately noon.  
  • Each day of the championship, the Trophy Club and the 1895 Club open at 6:30 a.m.  
  • Each day of the championship, the USGA Member Clubhouse opens at 8 a.m. and closes at 7 p.m.

Prohibited Items

Spectators and other championship attendees will go through security screening prior to entering the championship grounds and will not be allowed to bring any of the items listed below. To expedite admission into the championship, it is recommended that all prohibited items are safely stowed prior to arriving at the championship.   

Please be sure to read the following list of prohibited items carefully:  

  • No Cell Phones (including cell phones with photographic capabilities)
  • No PDAs, Tablets  and/or other Portable E-mail Devices  
  • No Noise Producing Electronic Devices (including MP3 Players)  
  • No Cameras (other than Monday through Wednesday for personal non-commercial photographic use only and without their cases; video recording is not permitted at any time
  • No Bags larger than 8”W X 8”H X 8”D in their natural state  
  • No Cases and/or Covers (such as chair or umbrellas covers)  
  • No Signs, Posters and/or Banners  
  • No Televisions and/or Radios unless provided by the USGA  
  • No Food and/or Beverages except for medical or infant needs  
  • No Containers and/or Coolers except for medical or infant needs  
  • No Pets (other than service animals)  
  • No Lawn Chairs or Oversized Chairs (only portable compact chairs or stools permitted)
  • No Bicycles inside admission areas or on the championship grounds

When will I receive the tickets I ordered?  

Tickets for the U.S. Open will begin shipping in early May via first-class mail. If you purchase your tickets in May, your order will be processed and shipped within 1 week of the date your order was placed. If tickets are purchased online in June, your tickets will be available for pick-up at Will Call on-site at Merion Golf Club.

Do I need to purchase a ticket for my child?  

Junior tickets cannot be purchased online. Junior tickets are ALWAYS available on-site at all admission gates and at Will Call facilities throughout the week of the championship.  Juniors age 12 and younger receive complimentary tickets, on any day, when accompanied by a valid adult ticket or credential holder. Tickets for juniors age 13 to 17 can be purchased at a reduced rate (Monday–Wednesday practice round tickets are $15; Thursday–Sunday championship round tickets are $35) when accompanied by an adult ticket or credential holder.

Junior tickets permit Trophy Club access only when accompanied by an adult Trophy Club ticket holder. Junior tickets do not permit 1895 Club access but may be purchased for access to the 1895 Club.

I have moved, or I plan to move, and I want to make sure I receive the tickets I purchased. How do I change my address?

Address change requests must be submitted by providing both the old and new addresses in writing to U.S. Open Admissions via email (ticketquestions@usga.org) or mail (2013 U.S. Open Admissions, P.O. Box 1500, Far Hills, NJ 07931-1500). The deadline to submit an address change to ensure tickets are mailed to the new address is March 15, 2013. Address change requests received after this date will still be processed, but there will be a delay in shipping.  

How do I arrange for my tickets to be left for me or someone else at Will Call?  

There will be multiple Will Call facilities at spectator admission gates. Tickets left at Will Call can be picked up at any location even if they are dropped off at a different Will Call facility, as all locations are networked via a single database. Any order placed via the USGA can be arranged to be left at Will Call by contacting U.S. Open Admissions by May 1, 2013 (Email: ticketquestions@usga.org, Phone: 1-800-698-0661, Mail: 2013 U.S. Open Admissions, P.O. Box 1500, Far Hills, NJ 07931).

What are the hours of Will Call?

Complimentary and discounted tickets are available to active and retired military men and women of all branches of service: Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, Navy and the National Guard and Reserves. Active military men and women will be provided with a complimentary Grounds ticket for practice rounds. Retired military men and women can purchase a discounted Grounds ticket for any practice round at half-price, $25. Tickets will be distributed and can be purchased at any Will Call facility by showing proper photo and military identification.

Where will parking be available for general spectators?  

Parking for spectators will be available at Rose Tree Park and PPL Park each day of the championship. The USGA will provide free shuttle transportation from parking locations to the championship entrance.

This military ticket offer will be provided to personnel from all branches of service including Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, Navy and the National Guard and Reserves. Tickets will be distributed and can be purchased at any Will Call facility.

  • To honor our active military men and women for their service to our country, the USGA will provide active military personnel with complimentary Grounds tickets during the practice rounds (Monday, June 10 through Wednesday, June 12).  
  • To thank our retired military men and women for their service to our country, the USGA will make practice-round Grounds tickets (Monday, June 10 through Wednesday, June 12) available for purchase at half price - $25.

Personnel must present both a military ID card and photo ID for the following:  

  • Active duty, National Guard or Reserve ID card for complimentary practice-round Grounds tickets
  •  Retired ID card to purchase practice round Grounds tickets at half price - $25.  

In addition, all juniors, ages 17 and under, will receive complimentary tickets when accompanied by either active or retired military personnel with a maximum of four junior tickets per day. Typically only juniors, age 12 and under, are provided complimentary junior tickets. Active and retired military may purchase additional practice-round Grounds tickets for family or friends at half price with a maximum number of four additional practice-round tickets per day.

For the first time ever, the U.S. Open and U.S. Women's Open will be played on the same course in consecutive weeks.
