Application of Exception 1 to Rule 14-3
Q. What is the meaning of the phrases "alleviating a medical condition" in subparagraph (a) and "medical reason" in subparagraph (b) of Exception 1 to Rule 14-3?
A. Those phrases mean that the player must have an existing medical condition which is alleviated by the player's use of the equipment or device.
Decision 14-3/8 (Adhesive Tape) is a specific, limited exception for the use of tape in a traditionally accepted manner.
