How can I become a USGA Member?

To become a Member, simply click here or you can call (800) 223-0041 to join, Monday–Friday between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. (ET). As a USGA Member, you will receive many great benefits including: the latest edition of The Rules of Golf, advance priority to purchase U.S. Open tickets, a personalized USGA bag tag and a Members-only U.S. Open golf hat. In addition, you will enjoy special Member-only discounts on USGA and U.S. Open merchandise, Troon® Golf Cards and AVIS® rental car rates.


What if I don’t know my USGA Member ID?

Your USGA Member ID can be located on your USGA Member ID card that you received with your USGA benefits package. Your ID can also be located at the top right corner of the USGA Insider e-newsletter that is sent to USGA Members with e-mail addresses. If you cannot locate your Member ID, please call Members Program Customer Service at (800) 223-0041, Monday–Friday between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. (ET) or e-mail membership@usga.org.

How do I place an international order?

For orders that need to ship outside the United States:
 

1. Print a copy of your Shopping Cart with the product titles and quantities you are ordering.

2. Fax a copy of your Shopping Cart, along with your name, phone number, e-mail address, Member ID number (if you have one), shipping address, billing address, credit card number and expiration date to our secure fax line 01+ (908) 470-1434.

3. If you have any questions, please e-mail us at pubsdepartment@usga.org, or call the Order Department at (800) 336-4446 within the U.S. or Canada, or 01+ (908) 234-2300 ext. 1367 during normal business hours, Monday–Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. (ET).


Note: Shipping costs will be calculated based on the weight of the items to be shipped. Duty, taxes and brokerage fees are the responsibility of the customer.

Rush and Express shipping is not available for International Orders, and all orders will be held to ship complete. Same-day shipments must be called in and requested by 1 p.m. (ET) and approved by an authorized representative.  

 


What are your hours of operation?

How do I check the status of an order?

An e-mail confirmation will be sent to you when your order has shipped with shipping carrier information and applicable tracking numbers. You can track your package online via “My Accounts” page or directly from the shipping carrier at the links with your provided tracking number. Please call us at 800-336-4446 Monday - Friday between 9 a.m. -5 p.m. (ET) for any questions concerning your order shipment.

Please note that lightweight packages may be shipped via USPS. All other packages will be shipped via UPS. If you have any questions on shipping methods or require UPS services, please contact Customer Service at (800) 336-4446, Monday–Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. (ET). If your shipment falls outside of our normal parameters based on package size, weight or destination, additional shipping charges will apply. For orders outside the 48 contiguous states, the shipping cost will be calculated based on the weight of the items to be shipped. Duty, taxes and brokerage fees are the responsibility of the customer.


Which credit cards does the USGA accept?

We accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa credit cards.


Should I put spaces or dashes in the credit card number?

No. Your card number should be entered in as a continuous string of numbers.


Is there sales tax on my purchase?

All applicable local and state sales taxes are collected for merchandise and shipping on orders delivered to AL, AZ, CA, CO, DE, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, KS, KY, MA, MN, NJ, NY, NC, OH, OK, PA, TX, VA, WA, and WI. Tax rates are subject to change at any time.


How do I cancel an order?

If you need to change or cancel your order, please call our Customer Service Center at (800) 336-4446, Monday – Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. (ET). Please Note: Once your order has reached a certain point in our processing procedure we may not be able to change or cancel your order. Please notify Customer Service as soon as possible for changes or cancellations.


What is the return policy?

We've selected our merchandise with you in mind. However, if you are disappointed with anything you receive, please return it within 30 days for a prompt refund. Merchandise being returned must not have been used and must be in new condition. Before shipping your merchandise back, please call Customer Service at (800) 336-4446, Monday–Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. (ET).


How soon will I receive my package after I place my order?

Your shipping and processing time depends on the availability of the merchandise,method of shipping you select and where you are located. Orders are shipped from New Jersey. Estimated times are listed below. Please note that the total time indicates how long it should take from the time you place your order until the time you receive your order. Allow 1-2 business days for processing plus the transit time.

Regular delivery: 5–10 business days
Rush delivery: 4 business days
Express delivery: 1–2 business days

What if I have a question regarding shipment of my order?

Is my purchase secure?

Shopping at usga.org/publications is safe and easy. The security of your credit card and personal information is our top priority. Our site is equipped with secure online ordering capability. Our secure server software (SSL) is the industry standard and among the best software for secure e-commerce transactions. This technology encrypts all of your information, including credit card number, so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet.

Why can’t I order Rules of Golf items if I live outside the United States and its territories?

Due to an agreement with the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, sales of Rules items are limited to customers in the U.S., its territories and Mexico.  We will, however, ship one of each Rules item to each of our USGA Members as a membership courtesy.  Please contact the Royal and Ancient for all other Rules needs at www.randa.orgor via phone at (011) 44-133-446-0000.

This commitment has led to the creation of extensive golf-focused STEM teaching tools, and has resulted in charitable contributions to support golf-related programs through Eagles for Education™

At U.S. Open Championships the Chevron STEM ZONE™ is an interactive experience highlighting the science and math behind the game of golf through a variety of hands-on exhibits and experiments.

The partnership has also produced educational materials such as the Science of Golf video series and a nationally-distributed newspaper insert which are provided to teachers as tools to enhance existing curriculum in schools. These lessons teach the science behind the USGA’s equipment testing, handicapping, and agronomy efforts.
