Jim Skorulski joined the Green Section staff as an agronomist in the Northeast Region in April 1989. Since then, he has made more than 2,000 Turf Advisory Service visits in New Jersey, New York, New England and Canada. He has authored articles for the Green Section Record and other industry publications. He has also actively participated in USGA Regional Meetings and has made numerous presentations nationally and abroad at turf-related functions, conferences and seminars.

A native of New Hartford, N.Y., Skorulski earned a B.S. and Forestry, in Forest Biology in 1984. Following graduation, he was employed at the Yahnundasis Golf Club near Utica, N.Y., and the Cornell University Golf Course.

Skorulski attended Cornell University in 1987 to pursue graduate studies in Turfgrass Management and earned a Master of Professional Studies Degree. His thesis work consisted of developing integrated pest management (IPM) strategies for golf courses.
