COURSE/SLOPE RATING: Based on the course setup for the championship, the Course Rating™ is 76.1 for the men and 78.6 for the women. The Slope Rating® is 144 for the men and 149 for the women.

GOLF COURSE ARCHITECTS: The TPC Blue Monster Course at Doral Golf Resort & Spa Miami, which opened in 1962, was originally designed by Dick Wilson and has received renovations by Raymond Floyd and Jim McLean. Gil Hanse, who will serve as the architect for the golf courses utilized at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games, will conduct renovations following the 2013 WGC-Cadillac Championship.

ABOUT THE COPA DE LAS AMERICAS: The Copa de las Americas, overseen by the Americas Golf Association, is a biennial team event for amateurs in North, Central and South America, as well as the Caribbean. It consists of three 72-hole, stroke-play competitions – overall, men and women. Teams consist of no more than two men and two women.

This will mark the first time that the Copa de las Americas will be conducted within the contiguous United States of America and hosted by the United States Golf Association.

2010 CHAMPIONS: The USA claimed its second consecutive Copa de las Americas overall championship with a 72-hole total of 10-over-par 1158 to win by 12 strokes over host Argentina at Buenos Aires Golf Club and Olivos Golf Club in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Canada and Colombia finished tied for third at 1184.

Jessica Korda and Jennifer Song of the USA won the women’s portion of the championship, while Tomas Cocha and Emiliano Grillo of Argentina won the men’s portion.

WHAT THE CHAMPIONS RECEIVE: Three separate trophies are given to the winners of the three divisions of the Copa de las Americas – men’s, women’s and overall. All three trophies were awarded for the first time in 2003. The overall trophy was given by Canada, the women’s trophy by Argentina and the men’s trophy by Puerto Rico.
