Course Overview
The course at Wichita Country Club was designed by William H. Diddel and opened in 1950, 50 years after the initial opening of the club.
On either side of the fairways, the intermediate rough will be set to 1½ inch. Then, there will be a band of primary rough cut at 2½ to 3 inches. The greens will be set to run at 11 to 11½ feet on the Stimpmeter for the duration of the championship.
This is the 24th U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship and the third USGA championship to be hosted at Wichita Country Club. The club previously hosted the 1955 U.S. Women’s Open (won by Fay Crocker) and the 1969 USGA Senior Amateur (won by Curtis Person Sr.)
