Permanent link All PostsWe received about one inch of rain last night and it will somewhat affect today’s second round of match play. According to the USGA’s championship director, Teresa Belmont, the greens drained well and are as firm as they were earlier in the championship. The fairways are pretty damp and players aren’t getting much, if any, roll on tee shots. Casual water is scattered here and there, but generally the course held up very well. Play is quite speedy. “The pace is just fine,” Belmont said. “If anything, the times are a little bit under what we normally hope for.” – Rhonda Glenn
