Permanent link All PostsLovely course, pretty sites, even at the end of a rainy afternoon. The supporters and spectators stream up the hill to the clubhouse in their pork-pie hats and baseball caps and visors. The USA players hoist their Stars ‘n Stripes umbrellas, the GB&I fans wear huge Union Jack banners like capes in the rain. The emerald fairways of this wonderful old course stream off into the mist. It’s the end of a difficult day for GB&I. The team lost all six of today’s points and the close contest of yesterday afternoon has become a wider spread. Eight singles tomorrow. Anything can happen.
