SOUTHAMPTON, N.Y. -- Ariya Jutanugarn, of Thailand, who was fully exempt into the 2013 U.S. Women’s Open, has withdrawn from the championship due to an injured shoulder. Amateur Hannah Suh, the first alternate out of the Daly City, Calif., qualifying site, has replaced her in the field. Suh will join Anna Nordqvist and Shanshan Feng in Thursday’s 2:09 p.m. EDT grouping off the 10th tee.
Additionally, Mi-Jeong Jeon, who was exempt into the championship by virtue of her placement in the top 25 of the Rolex Rankings, has declined her exemption into the championship. Amateur Mikayla Harmon, the first alternate out of the Glendale, Ariz., qualifying site, has replaced her in the field. Harmon will join Angela Stanford and Lizette Salas in Thursday’s 1:36 p.m. grouping off the 10th tee.
