Player Withdrawals

Two-time U.S. Senior Open champion Gary Player, 1986 U.S. Open champion Raymond Floydand Dana Quigleyhave withdrawn from the 2007 U.S. Senior Open Championship. Playerhas back and hamstring injuries and Floydhas a back injury. The reason for Quigley's withdrawal was not specified.

Playerwon the 1987 and 1988 Senior Open championships as well as the 1965 U.S. Open. The alternate who will take his place is BILL KING of Spring Lake, N.J., who competed in sectional qualifying on June 18 in Moosic, Pa. King shot 69 at Glenmaura National Golf Club.

The alternate who will take Floyd's place is SCOTT WALTERof Franktown, Colo., who competed in sectional qualifying on June 11 in Colorado Springs, Colo. Waltershot 73 at The Broadmoor Golf Club.

Walteris playing in his second Senior Open. He shot 77-77 in 2006 at Prairie Dunes Golf Club in Hutchinson, Kan., and missed the cut.

The alternate who will take Quigley's place is CHARLIE KINGof Peachtree City, Ga., who competed in sectional qualifying on June 11 in Newnan, Ga. King shot 69 at Newnan Country Club.

King is playing in his first Senior Open.
