Mid-Atlantic Region


Brendan McNulty will intern in the Green Section’s Mid-Atlantic Region.  Brendan currently is a graduate student working toward a M.S. degree in plant pathology, physiology, and weed science.  His thesis work involves Poa annua control in creeping bentgrass putting greens working with Dr. Shawn Askew.

Brendan was born in Denver, CO, but relocated many times living in Mission Viejo, CA, Lexington, KY, and currently Atlanta, GA.  Throughout his adolescence, Brendan fell in love with the game of golf and everything it represents.  During his high school years in Atlanta, Brendan played on the golf team and worked at the Standard Club in Duluth, GA.  While working at the Standard Club he determined that turfgrass management would be his profession of choice.

Brendan’s previous internships include; the Standard Club (2008) and working in the turfgrass pathology lab at Virginia Tech (2009).
